MAKINGO WARRANTY POLICY
At Makingo, we are committed to providing reliable, quality products and dependable customer support. Eligible Makingo products are covered against manufacturing defects during the applicable warranty period, subject to the terms and conditions stated below.
The warranty period may vary depending on the product category and model. Customers are advised to retain their purchase invoice as proof of purchase for warranty service.
1. Warranty Coverage
Makingo warrants eligible products against defects in materials, workmanship, and normal operation during the applicable warranty period.
After inspection and verification of the reported defect, Makingo may, depending on the circumstances:
- Repair the defective product;
- Repair or replace the defective component;
- Replace the product with the same model; or
- Provide an equivalent or comparable model if the original model is unavailable or discontinued.
The method of resolution will be determined by Makingo based on the nature of the defect, technical feasibility, availability of parts, and product availability.
2. Products Covered
This Warranty Policy applies to eligible Makingo-branded products, including, but not limited to:
- Keyboards
- Mice
- Gaming keyboards and accessories
- Headphones and earphones
- Speakers and sound systems
- Monitors and displays
- Access-control products
- Computer peripherals
- Other Makingo-branded electronic and IT products
Certain products or categories may have specific warranty periods or additional warranty conditions. Where product-specific warranty terms are provided, those terms will apply.
3. Warranty Period
The warranty period starts from the date of purchase mentioned on the end-user sales invoice.
The applicable warranty duration may be stated on the:
- Product page;
- Product packaging;
- Sales invoice;
- Warranty information supplied with the product; or
- Other official Makingo documentation.
The purchase invoice should preferably include the purchase date, seller details, product model, and serial number where applicable.
If valid proof of purchase is unavailable, Makingo may determine the warranty commencement date using available records such as the serial number, manufacturing or import date, warranty sticker, distributor/dealer records, or internal sales records.
Makingo reserves the right to verify the authenticity and eligibility of any warranty claim.
4. DOA – Dead on Arrival
A product found defective or non-functional immediately after purchase or within 15 days from the date of purchase may be considered a DOA (Dead on Arrival) case, subject to inspection and verification by Makingo or its Authorized Service Provider.
To qualify for DOA consideration, the product must be in proper physical condition and must not show evidence of:
- Physical or accidental damage;
- Liquid or moisture damage;
- Misuse or improper handling;
- Unauthorized repair or modification;
- Tampering;
- Burn damage; or
- Damage caused by external electrical conditions.
After verification, Makingo may replace the product with the same model or, where unavailable, a suitable equivalent product.
Replacement is subject to product availability.
Packaging, cartons, accessories, cables, manuals, or other supplied items may not necessarily be replaced unless specifically approved.
Submission of a DOA claim does not automatically guarantee product replacement. Eligibility will be confirmed after inspection and verification.
5. Under Warranty
After the DOA period, an eligible product that remains within its applicable warranty period will be treated as Under Warranty.
Depending on the defect and product condition, Makingo may:
- Repair the product;
- Repair or replace defective components;
- Replace the product where repair is not technically or commercially practical; or
- Provide an equivalent product where necessary.
Warranty service is subject to technical feasibility and availability of spare parts or replacement products.
Any repaired or replaced product or component will remain covered only for the remaining portion of the original warranty period.
Repair or replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty period.
6. Out of Warranty
A product may be considered Out of Warranty if:
- The applicable warranty period has expired;
- The product has physical or accidental damage;
- Liquid or moisture damage is present;
- The product has been opened, altered, repaired, or modified by an unauthorized person;
- The serial number or warranty label has been removed, altered, or damaged;
- Damage has resulted from misuse, improper handling, or external electrical conditions; or
- Any applicable warranty condition has been violated.
Out-of-warranty products may be repaired on a chargeable basis, subject to technical feasibility and spare-part availability.
Applicable charges may include inspection, repair, spare parts, transportation, technician visits, or handling charges.
If the product is found to be non-repairable, it may be returned to the customer in its existing condition.
7. Physical Damage
Physical or accidental damage is not covered under the standard warranty.
Examples include:
- Cracks;
- Broken components;
- Dents;
- Bent parts;
- Damaged connectors or ports;
- Broken screens;
- Damage caused by impact or dropping;
- Transit damage; and
- Damage caused by improper handling.
Where technically possible, Makingo may offer repair of physically damaged products on a chargeable basis.

9. Product Images & Appearance
Product images displayed on the Makingo website, catalogues, brochures, packaging, advertisements, online marketplaces, social-media pages, and other promotional materials are for illustration and reference purposes only.
Actual product color, finish, texture, dimensions, design appearance, and overall look may vary slightly from the images displayed due to:
- Photography and lighting conditions;
- Screen or display settings;
- Printing variations;
- Image processing;
- Product revisions or updates; and
- Normal manufacturing variations.
Minor differences in colour, finish, texture, or appearance shall not normally be considered a manufacturing defect or grounds for warranty replacement or return, subject to applicable consumer-protection laws.
10. Product Replacement
Where a product replacement is approved, Makingo may provide:
- The same model;
- An equivalent model;
- A model with comparable specifications and functionality; or
- Another suitable replacement if the original model has been discontinued or is unavailable.
Minor differences in appearance, colour, finish, packaging, features, or accessories may occur between the original and replacement product.
Such differences shall not automatically be considered a defect where the replacement provides reasonably equivalent functionality and performance.
11. Warranty Service
Warranty service will normally be provided on a Carry-In basis, unless On-Site Service is specifically stated for the applicable product.
The customer may be required to deliver or send the product to a Makingo Service Centre or Authorized Service Provider.
Transportation, courier, collection, delivery, technician travel, or other incidental expenses may be chargeable where these services are not specifically included in the applicable warranty.
Makingo or its Authorized Service Provider will determine whether a product can be serviced at the customer's location or must be brought to a Service Centre.
12. Replacement Parts
During repair, Makingo may use:
- New parts;
- Service parts;
- Refurbished parts; or
- Functionally equivalent parts
that meet applicable Makingo quality and performance requirements.
Defective parts replaced during warranty service may be retained by Makingo or its Authorized Service Provider.

14. Customer Responsibility Before Service
Before submitting a product for inspection, repair, or replacement, customers should:
- Remove any personal accessories or items not supplied with the product.
- Submit the product with the required accessories, cables, adapters, or power supply only when requested for testing.

15. Collection of Repaired Products
Customers are requested to collect repaired products within 20 days from the date of service-completion notification.
Products not collected within the specified period may be subject to applicable storage or handling conditions.
Customers are responsible for providing correct and updated contact information.
Makingo shall not be responsible for communication delays caused by incorrect or unavailable customer contact details.
16. Service Turnaround Time
Makingo will make reasonable efforts to complete warranty service within an appropriate period.
Actual service time may vary depending on:
- Nature of the defect;
- Product category;
- Technical complexity;
- Spare-part availability;
- Replacement-product availability;

- Transportation time.
Service delays caused by circumstances beyond Makingo's reasonable control shall not automatically result in product replacement, refund, or compensation, subject to applicable law.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Makingo's responsibility under this warranty is primarily limited to the repair or replacement of eligible defective products or components.
Makingo shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use a product, including loss of business, profit, revenue, productivity, opportunity, or data.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to limit or exclude any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
